Biography

Sometime in the last century, Dr Bart Schmidt graduated from the prestigious Jagiellonian University, founded in 1364. He then passed United States Medical Licencing Examinations as well as New Zealand and Australian exams. Having been registerable in Europe and USA he decided to live and work in Australia. He subsequently trained in O&G at Queensland’s leading training facilities like Mater Mother’s Hospital, QEII Jubilee Hospital and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. Ever since he gained RANZCOG Fellowship, he has been working at the RBWH.

 

Dr Schmidt’s surgical journey started at the age of ten when he was an assistant in an animal lab. His father - Cardiac, Vascular and General Surgeon - took him through the initial ropes and the rest was history. Today he offers his patients’ an extensive range of pelvic surgery - abdominal, laparoscopic and vaginal.
